Meet Bernina Jeff – Your Sewing Machine Expert
For over 60 years, Hi Fashion Sewing Machines & Quilt Shop has been Grand Junction’s go-to spot for quality fabrics, trusted service, and sewing know-how. At the heart of it all is Jeff Vogel, better known to tens of thousands online as “Bernina Jeff.”
Jeff grew up in the family shop, learning the trade from his mother, Arlene — long before he could even drive a delivery van full of fabric bolts. Today, he combines his lifelong passion for sewing with mechanical know-how to help sewists around the world get the most out of their machines.
During the 2020 pandemic, Jeff started his YouTube channel, Bernina Jeff, to teach machine troubleshooting and share his favorite tools. What began as a few helpful videos has grown into a thriving community of 50,000+ subscribers. His channel features tips, tutorials, and must-have sewing gadgets — many of which are available right here on his website.
When he’s not filming in his Grand Junction shop, Jeff is helping customers choose the right accessories, discover hidden features on their machines, and keep their Berninas, Baby Locks, and more running like new.

Bernina Jeff has some great items which he designed and had created himself. He is a GENIUS! I have several items from his shop which are invaluable to me! The Eyeglass caddy is one, and more are the stick on items to hold presser feet, the small tray to hold small items like needles and needle inserters.

The caddy/holder for reading glasses is a great find. It works well on my long arm machine as well as my sewing machine! My glasses stay where I put them, and I can easily locate them when I am through with the readers that I need to see up close. I can swap glasses without fear of losing my "real glasses" and can use the readers whenever I need them and they are always near my machine(hanging right there!!)

I like having the bobbins in the foam case. Easy to see color thread, easy to see if it’s empty, just very convenient.
I love the #10 foot! I have it for my 740 machine and use it on almost everything I sew. I make a lot of bags, etc. It is great for topstitching. I bought this one for my 380 travel machine.

I love the foot, with the adjacent guide. It makes getting that “precise” 1/4” seam so very easy. Even more than the product, I am impressed with the rapid response and and shipping practices.
