Meet Bernina Jeff – Your Sewing Machine Expert
For over 60 years, Hi Fashion Sewing Machines & Quilt Shop has been Grand Junction’s go-to spot for quality fabrics, trusted service, and sewing know-how. At the heart of it all is Jeff Vogel, better known to tens of thousands online as “Bernina Jeff.”
Jeff grew up in the family shop, learning the trade from his mother, Arlene — long before he could even drive a delivery van full of fabric bolts. Today, he combines his lifelong passion for sewing with mechanical know-how to help sewists around the world get the most out of their machines.
During the 2020 pandemic, Jeff started his YouTube channel, Bernina Jeff, to teach machine troubleshooting and share his favorite tools. What began as a few helpful videos has grown into a thriving community of 50,000+ subscribers. His channel features tips, tutorials, and must-have sewing gadgets — many of which are available right here on his website.

Bernina foot was as expected: excellent. Shipping was very prompt and well packaged. Addressed as is necessary for this location.
As often happens, the USPS in Denver misdirected the package to Chicago rather than to our location in CO. This resulted in a delay of several days due to postal service errors. No fault of Bernina Jeff,which provided excellent service. But beware, if your Bernina Jeff order is late in arriving, USPS in Denver probably sent it on an unrelated side excursion to who knows where.

WHAT! This thing really works! I was struggling with my new Bernina to get the throat plate off. It was a long 15 - 20 minute struggle to get it off. I posted in a Bernina thread and some wonderful person told me about this tool. I’m more than grateful to her and to Bernina Jeff for this. The tool truly makes it pop up without getting stuck!
Really saves my fingers when popping off the needle plate. I put one at each of my machines and even tucked one into my travel machine bag. I was going to keep one and give the other two to friends, but now I will have to order more or tell them where I purchased mine.
I bought a couple of these on Amazon and they are not worth using. This one is much much better with that long tip. Worth the money.
Works well. I often use the thread cutter, but I’m thinking this thread holder would make sense as it might keeps birds nests from forming when I start stitching.

I had this on a machine I just traded in and had to have it again. Then I ordered the wrong one so I called to immediately to get this. It keeps my sewing area next to my sewing machine uncluttered, and it’s handy to get what I want because I can keep my three most used sewing feet in this rack. I love it.
